Another maker of adorable small creatures from polymer clay is quernus crafts. You can see from my collection above that all manner of wee creatures show up–mice, rabbits, ducks, otters, hedgehogs, polar bears–doing all manner of things–climbing, dressing up, playing, or snoozing.

Based in the UK, Kirsten generally makes a variety of pieces and then lists them all at once on her site, so its a good idea to get her newsletter or follow her on Facebook to know when new items are being dropped.

She also makes items to order. She made me this beautiful owl and butterfly piece for me, with the tree being made by a crafting friend of hers. The butterflies are even magnetic and can be moved around the tree!

You’ll notice on her website that she often makes pieces that she auctions off for charitable causes as well.

Kirsten cares about her creations, having a link on her webpage for the “quernus hospital” where you can reach out to get accidental injuries repaired, and she maintains a group on Facebook (Quernus Creatures on the Move) where folks who wish to rehome their wee creatures may do so.
