Unlike the other artists I highlight, Woobles isn’t a specific individual, but a DIY crafting company. Woobles sells kits that include everything you need to crochet small creatures, known as amigurumi.

Woobles has a wide variety of options, from generic creatures to endorsed fandoms, including Lord of the Rings & The Hobbit, Peanuts, Care Bears, K Pop Demon Hunters, Cat in the Hat, Bluey, and My Little Pony. Their kits range from beginner and beginner plus to intermediate. Each kit generally allows you to learn a different stitch or technique not found in a previous one. Kits include everything you need–tools, yarns, accessories, etc.

Woobles provides a written pattern as well as videos so you can watch the motion and how the stitches develop. They also provide instruction for both left- and right-handed folks, making it even more accessible! And if you are still lost, you can reach out on their website, or ask their fandom. There’s a robust and helpful Facebook community where people post pictures and ask questions about all kinds of crochet projects, not just Woobles.

You can purchase skeins of Woobles “easy peasy” yarn on Amazon, or there are many similar types of yarns at you favorite craft store or from other online shops, so that you can make additional Woobles in other colors or sizes from the patterns you have collected from the kits.

One of the more interesting recent additions was flippable Woobles–a series of birds that can be flipped into eggs shapes. Here’s the Green Heron one that I did.

One of my kiddo’s friends used her skills from Woobles to create a Totoro amigurumi, and I made all of the characters from my gaming group’s Daggerheart campaign.

Woobles also offers hand crochet kits, known as Loopables, which do not require hooks. These are great for younger kids, or when you just wants fewer small things to lose.

As you can tell, Woobles are one of my favorite things. I enjoy taking the kits to make while waiting on appointments, while watching television, or just sitting outside enjoying the weather. They are simple, portable, and lots of fun.
